The "Theater des Westens" belongs to the most traditional stages of Germany. The house was opened on October 1st, 1896.

The splendid building in Wilhelminian style is an architectural and artistic gem in the centre of the Berlin city centre West. International stars like Enrico Caruso, Marlene Dietrich and Maria Callas celebrated triumphs on this stage. Hardly a well-known Berlin actor is absent in the yearbooks of the "Theater des Westens". Since the great success of My Fair Lady in the sixties the musical genre also has its solid place here.
